The name Dashur is pronounced "Dash-er," like the reindeer.


Together it combines the first two letters of my first, middle, and last name.

I started my photography journey in Cairo, Egypt. There is actually a pyramid there called Dashur Pyramid, so its also symbolic of the origin of my Photography career.

My Story.


My name is Danielle Shae Urman. I live in Gillette, Wyoming with my husband, Jon, and my two children, Indie (8) and Rhys (6).


I first fell in love with photography when I moved to Cairo, Egypt with my husband in 2015. I bought a used camera for $200 to photograph my travels while living abroad, and I learned to use my camera by taking many travel photos. I quickly found interest in capturing vibrant color and life with my camera, as well as candid moments of the people I would meet.


I gave birth to my first child, a daughter, Indie Capri in Egypt. Having a baby only fueled my love for photography even more. I was obsessed with photographing her, and soon realized I loved photographing people and capturing the beauty I would see.


I have always been an artist. I find joy in drawing, painting, and music. I was thrilled to realize that photography combines all of my artistic abilities into one craft.


To see light, color, depth, emotion and beauty in my subjects, helps me to create one of a kind photographic art pieces that glimpse a piece of the human soul.

Random facts about me:


  • I love Jesus! I believe we are His greatest masterpiece and love to document His original works of art, all of us!
  • My biggest hobby is reading High Fantasy/Sci-fi novels, but I also love painting, and baking sourdough bread. I love spending quality time with my family and pets.
  • I am an Enneagram 3 which means I am a goal setter and love achieving new things!
  • Favorite food: Jimmy Johns #12 Beach Club
  • I usually live in sweat pants, slippers, and my robe, I love being comfy!
  • I love traveling and have been to 16 countries so far
  • The Office and Friends are my favorite TV shows, but I rarely watch TV.
  • I have two chihuahuas, Uno and Ellie, and two Green Cheek Conure Parrots: Tango and Opal.
  • I am a licensed Cosmetologist and still do hair 1-3 days a week.
